A sweet 16-year-old dog should be lazily lounging on a soft bed in a loving home enjoying his retirement. It seems, however that Jet Black, a Labrador retriever mix, tearfully missed out and found himself at the Castaic Animal Shelter in Los Angeles County, California when his family moved away and obviously decided there was no room in their lives for their senior dog
A shelter volunteer wrote:
“This sweet old man is sad and confused at the shelter. Needs a rescue or kind adopter to give him a loving home and a soft place to rest his head for however much time he has left. Does not see or hear well but still gets around at a slow pace.”

Please share Jet Black’s plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives. It is recommended he be placed in a home with high school aged children + and other calm dogs. Shelter notes indicate he gets along with both large and small dogs. Sharing saves lives. Surely Jet Black deserves better than his family’s lack of loyalty.
