In Fayette County, Texas, a surrendered pup named Larry couldn’t understand why he was left at the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter after his owners left the building. So what was a clever and loyal pup to do?

Clever Larry was somehow able to escape the shelter, and he ran all the way back home to surprise his family. The saddest part of the day – his owners didn’t want him and brought him back to the shelter again.

Volunteers call Larry a very sweet guy who needs someone to visit with him and find out what a wonderful little companion he could be. Share his story with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives.
