A surrendered dog in Arizona is so terrified by her new reality that she refused to eat…refused to move…and desperately tries to hide from her reality. On Thursday, Pinal County Animal Care and Control shared photos of the frightened dog, and explained:

Please, remember this is what it looks like when you surrender a pet most of the time. It’s heartbreaking, confusing, and devastating for them 💔
Belle (A236596) is so terrified she refuses to eat, move, and just wants to hide under her bed.

Belle was not properly trained or socialized and her family gave her up after she went after another dog. The shelter staff hopes to work with her and show her that the world is not a horrible place. The shelter staff writes:

Staff is going to continue to work with Belle and provide her with the absolute most TLC we can to help bring this girl out of her terrified state, help her learn her basic manners, and evaluate her doggie social skills.

You can find the animal care and control facility at 1150 S Eleven Mile Corner Rd Casa Grande, AZ 85194

Belle’s ID#A236596
