Stressed out dog had bad experience at shelter and unless rescued will soon die

Handsome Denny is hoping an approved rescue organization comes to the Kansas Humane Society on Saturday and saves his life. He arrived at the shelter as a stray, and in the beginning of his shelter experience he passed the evaluations and became an adoption candidate.

Two weeks at the shelter have not been good for Denny. After being used as a tester dog at the shelter for multiple dogs, another dog came into the room very quickly, possibly startling Denny who responded by snarling and showing his teeth. The handler pulled him away to give Benny time to calm down, but when retested later with another dog who behaved fine, Denny repeated the aggressive behavior towards that dog also.

The rescue group Beauties and Beasts, Inc. is reaching out on social media for help finding an approved organization to help Denny. The dog is currently on medication to calm his stress level, and it is believed he may behave differently in a less stressful environment. Sadly, his time is running out.
