For weeks Sally languished under a tree in a rural area of Texas with no food or water. She couldn’t escape – her owner had chained her to a tree and just abandoned her. Somehow Sally survived by eating acorns that had fallen from the tree above her.
When a local shelter reached out to Rescue Dogs Rock NYC for help on Thursday morning, the rescue organization immediately stepped forward. Rescuers cried when they arrived and saw every one of Sally’s ribs; they saw a dog who had been close to dying of starvation. Another dog on the property was also found, and that dog was also taken in by Rescue Dogs Rock NYC.
Sally has been rushed to the rescue organization’s emergency veterinarian where she is receiving life-saving treatment.
“We never want to say NO but soon we will have to. We need your help to save these animals.”
