Shelters across the nation experienced a strange, some might say “wild,” day of stray animal intakes today. In Puyallup, Washington, Metro Animal Services attempted to find the owner of a baby elephant that was found at Decoursey Park. The shelter writes:
We are trying to find the owners of this baby elephant that was found in Decoursey Park in Puyallup today. If you are the owner or know the owner, please have them call the MAS shelter to claim her.
And Calgary Humane tried to find placement for a particularly difficult homeless animal – they explain:
Originally brought in to CHS as a stray, Clawdia is an elusive escape artist! She’s not a big fan of humans and is a master of camouflage. Absolutely loves her cat tree, jumping and requires a LOT of exercise – she would prefer a good 50km a day. Strong prey drive and wouldn’t do well with small animals in the home.
