A shelter in Toledo, Ohio, is hoping that their facility’s longest resident, Dorito, will be chosen for adoption soon. On Tuesday, the Toledo Humane Society posted a photo of the two-year-old dog, explaining how they have repeatedly tried to find her a home…to no avail:

In case you were wondering, Dorito is still here… Did you know Dorito has had 10 posts made about her on our Facebook page? This will be number 11. And an additional 4 posts have been made on our Instagram page. To put it in perspective, most animals here at THS will be featured on our Facebook once, maybe twice before they’re adopted. We’re really hoping that as our 15th post on social media, this one will really speak to that special someone…

Expressing dismay that NOBODY seems to want this pretty girl:

We don’t even have anyone interested in fostering her to give her time out of the shelter. We’re wondering why? Is her smile not sweet enough? Does her goofy demeanor somehow rub people the wrong way? We get it-she wouldn’t do well at home with a cat or small animal, but there HAS to be a dog lover out there who doesn’t have these restrictions holding them back from meeting her, right?

And outlining her many attributes:

Dorito has proven to us daily what an amazing and smart dog she is. She knows how to sit and seems eager to please- especially when you’ve got treats in hand. You’re guaranteed to laugh at her goofy personality as she jumps and wiggles her way into your heart. If you give her a baby pool filled with water, you’ll be Dorito’s best friend for life! She is full of energy, tail wags, and an abundance of love and she’s just waiting to share that with someone like you.

Is this it? Is this the time that someone will finally take notice of Dorito and decide to offer her a home?? Click here to access the shelter’s website and learn more about how you can help sweet Dorito finally leave the shelter.
