A terrified heeler has been placed on the Wichita Kansas Animal Shelter’s euthanasia list. Identified as CM07, the heartbreaking view of him trembling in the corner of his shelter cage is heartbreaking.

“Can you imagine what it must be like for shelter dogs? Strange place. Loud and unfamiliar dogs. The only view is the cement wall in front of you with strangers suddenly appearing. Some stop and say hi. Some keep going. They all are terrifying.”

Advocate for Beauties and Beasts, Inc.

On Friday, volunteers from the non-profit animal rescue group Beauties and Beasts, Inc. met CMO7 and hoped that getting him out of his shelter cage would help. His advocates learned the pup is extremely potty trained which makes shelter life even harder; once he had a home, but where is his family now?

While he didn’t completely relax, his tension slowly abated, and his latest intake photo showed an alert happy dog in the field.

“This poor boy is experiencing extreme shelter shock and is euth listed labeled rescue only. He needs a rescue to save him from the walls that confine him ASAP. Help.”
