A no-kill animal shelter in Oklahoma is hoping that one of the long-timers will finally get her chance for a home and family. Two days ago, the Humane Society of Cherokee County posted a photo of the senior dog, whose name is Jill, writing:

This is Jill. She is one of our seniors and long-timers at our no-kill shelter. She was overlooked for years but now she has a couple of “shelter buddies” that give her special one on one time.

Jill is loving, wants to be a lap dog, and loves giving hugs as well as receiving them.

According to the shelter, Jill knows how to use a doggie door, and her favorite past time is laying in the sun, waiting for her belly to be rubbed. The shelter staff believes that Jill is best suited to being the only dog in the home.

If you are interested in meeting this deserving senior dog, please visit the shelter website to complete an application.
