Shelter dog ‘loves love’ but nobody seems to be interested in giving her a home

A friendly dog, who “loves to love” finds herself waiting for someone to take notice of her at a shelter in New Hampshire. Staff at the New Hampshire SPCA are baffled as to the reason that nobody is interested in Charlie. The animal welfare agency writes:

This right here is one fantastic dog. She was transferred to us in early June after having been at another shelter since January. She’s 5.5 years old and has so much to give. We’re having a hard time understanding how such a wonderful dog has been waiting for a second chance for that long.

Describing the homeless pooch:

Here’s what we know about Charlie: she simply loves love. Once she is bonded with you, she is eager to shower you with kisses and tail wags. She even gives hugs: she’ll put both paws on your chest and stare deeply into your soul in a very relaxed, peaceful way. She loves to share those quiet, special moments with the people she loves most.

Adding:

As much as Charlie loves snuggling up on the couch and being affectionate, she also really loves adventuring. She would do best with an active family that would love nothing more than to take her along on hikes and long walks. This smart girl walks well on her harness and really enjoys sniffing all the good spots, which is wonderful mental enrichment.

According to the shelter, Charlie can be wary of men (but a treat helps her overcome her trepidation) and she has a prey drive, which means that a home without cats or other small creatures is best.
