A dog-friendly, people-friendly pooch finds herself on death row at a Texas animal control agency after being surrendered because her former family’s landlord said that she had to go. The dog, named Nena, is at the Harris County Pets facility in Houston.
The Houston & Harris County Animal Volunteers Facebook page writes of the sad situation that Nena finds herself in:
Nena is extremely scared in the shelter and not doing well. It wasn’t her fault she ended up in the shelter, her owner’s LANDLORD said she wasn’t allowed, so off she went to the dog pound.
Staff have said this girl is DOG FRIENDLY and PEOPLE FRIENDLY, but because this environment is so hard on her, she just stays on her bed and shakes. 💔💔
Nena was scheduled to be euthanized on Thursday morning, but her time was extended. Have no doubt, the clock is still ticking and she is in danger. Please share Nena’s information before it’s too late.
