In Batavia, Ohio, a senior pup has been waiting at the League for Animal Welfare for the last seven years for a home. It’s not that Mica, 10, hasn’t been well-cared for or loved – it’s just that he needs a family of his own, and that still hasn’t happened.
Mica happens to be the best mixture of a German Shorthaired Pointer and Labrador retriever. Who wouldn’t fall in love with this sweetheart?
“Mica had a traumatic start to life, and has learned to be wary of humans he doesn’t know. And he’s learned to trust his instincts, and avoid certain humans altogether! And that’s how he’s spent nearly 7 years at the League. He needs a unicorn adopter – someone who is more interested in helping Mica than they are about what a dog can do for them.”
Alright – now to describe the family Mica would thrive in and wag that adorable tail in delight. According to the staff at the shelter, this boy needs a person who is patient and has time to spend with him; someone to listen to his cues when he’s uncomfortable with his situation. Mica has good days and bad days, and there are times Mica just likes to be alone. Please note, he doesn’t seem to be a good fit for a family with children.
