Senior dog left trembling and heartbroken after being dumped back at busy animal control

A senior dog, 10 years of age, is distraught after finding herself dumped at a busy animal control agency in Florida. The dog, named Wendy, has been at the Miami Dade Animal Services facility THREE times in her life. Her advocate explains:

Left behind heartbroken, trembling and confused.
This is Wendy #A1352746 and this is her 3rd time at the shelter. First as a puppy on 2011 then as a 10th month old on 2012 and now as a 10 year old senior only this time competing against hundreds of younger pups.

Video posted to social media reveals Wendy’s fear…her eyes are wide and her entire body trembles with anxiety. Very few people walk into an animal shelter in search of an older dog. The young, prime-of-their-life dogs typically capture a potential adopter’s attention and the older dogs are left sitting alone in their kennel runs.
