A senior Boxer was surrendered to the Polk County, GA Animal Adoption and Recovery Shelter on February 2, and no one even bothered to leave his name or any information about him. And so this quiet senior with the soulful eyes waits for his family to return, and sadly his wish to return home will never be fulfilled.
This older dog keeps to himself and has obviously been neglected. His teeth are in terrible shape and a growth on his neck continues to be irritated by his collar and/or if he scratches.
“He won’t be one that people fight over, we will honestly be lucky to get him out alive,” Shannon Hicks posted on her Facebook page hoping to garner attention for this sweet dog’s adoption. “Not because he’s bad but because he’s quiet, keeps to himself and calm and he’s an older boy. I hope that someone will give him a chance to enjoy the remainder of his life!”
