Richmond drive-by shooting kills dog in his own backyard

The Richmond Animal Care and Control (RACC) and local authorities are searching for person(s) responsible for killing a family’s German shepherd in his own backyard on Monday afternoon.

According to the RACC, Luca the dog was shot and killed inside of his fenced in yard located at the 100 block of East 33rd Street at 12:30 p.m.

Witnesses described spotting a gold colored Nissan Altima (missing the driver’s side rear hubcap) and a black male passenger as the shooter.
