The reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for dangling a puppy outside of a car window and then throwing him into traffic in Norwalk has been increased to $2,500.

According to the Norwalk Police, the incident occurred on March 9 in the area near Home Depot on Connecticut Avenue. The driver of a car reported she had been following the vehicle and noticed a small dog dangling out of the window of the vehicle, and then saw the hands of an occupant throwing the dog out. The vehicle did not stop.

The Good Samaritan who witnessed the incident stopped and took the Beagle puppy out of the road onto the “grassy area” and called police.

About the same time, someone reported a lost dog which met the description of the dog thrown out of the vehicle. The case remains under investigation, however the dog has been returned to his owner.
