The reward is growing for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever is behind a terrible act of cruelty in Brooklyn, New York, which left a beloved neighborhood cat dead. The cat, named Tuxedo, lived in a feral cat colony at NYCHA’s Breukelen Houses and he died after a couple encouraged their two pit bulls to attack.
Latonya Walker, who has been feeding the cats for a decade, is deeply vested in this feral colony, and she was devastated when Tuxedo was viciously killed. In an effort to find his killers, she offered up a $200 reward. Animal Victory has since taken over the reward offering, and as of Friday, that reward grew to $1,000. The online petition platform has garnered over 18,000 signatures so far (click here to sign) and the support to find Tuxedo’s killers continues to grow.
A man who bore witness to the sadistic attack has stated that Tuxedo briefly escaped the two dogs by running up a tree, but the couple used a stick to prod him out, and the dogs tore the hapless cat apart.
