A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever fatally shot a cat with an arrow in the Village of Elsie, Michigan. The Capital Area Humane Society issued a release about the cruel incident on Monday.

The animal shelter release details what is known:

Last week, a cat was shot by an arrow and found in the 400 block of North Ovid Street in the Village of Elsie. Due to the position of the arrow, we feel strongly this was an intentional act of cruelty. While the cat survived the shooting, it breaks our heart to share that he passed away, shortly after arriving to the shelter.

The animal welfare agency stated:

A $1,000 reward is being offered to those with information leading to an arrest and conviction. Please contact the Capital Area Humane Society at (517) 626-6060 if you have information regarding this case.
