Rescuers never stop asking the question how some pet owners can watch their dogs suffer? On Sunday, Beauties and Beasts, Inc. – a nonprofit rescue organization in Wichita, Kansas, were sickened at the condition a dog had been living.
When the rescue organization was notified about the dog’s condition, a volunteer arrived at the home to help. There she discovered the three-year-old dog attached to a huge chain. The pup was so emaciated and dehydrated, he will likely be hospitalized for days.
His name is Chevelle, and it is not known the extent of his physical condition, however he has a severe infection, is Heartworm positive and has shown injuries indicating signs of abuse and neglect.
“Today we make two promises. 1) We will do everything in our power to heal him from his wounds. This may require specialist at Kstate or other more advanced specialty hospitals due to the nature of some of his injuries. 2). We will be fighting for justice for Chevelle. Our volunteer gave him that name so he did not have to be simply a number at the vet. We thank those who helped get Chevelle to safety today but now need your help. Some of his injuries are extensive and will need specialty care. We need to raise funds to help get him to those specialists. Please help!”Beauties and Beasts, Inc Facebook
