On Friday, a rescue group issued a plea for help on behalf of two bonded dogs who are being held at a boarding facility in New York. Adopt A Boxer Rescue writes:

Cage and Floyd were picked up as strays by a high kill rural shelter down south. They found comfort being together amongst all the chaos at the shelter. This father and son duo has arrived to NY and are in boarding together. They are friendly with both large and little female dogs and very respectful of cats.

Describing their endearing personalities:

One of our volunteers takes them home for a few hours when she can to offer them a reprieve from the kennel. They immediately go to the dog beds to roll on their backs then to the yard for a romp. These two are very polite in a home and don’t ask for much, just a place to lay their heads.

And their hope to keep them together, while acknowledging that it might not be possible:

We hope to be able to place them together but are realistic and may have to split them up.💙🙏
