In Surgoinsville, Tennessee, a Good Samaritan spotted a dog standing in the middle of the road. This poor dog, a victim of pure neglect, was barely able to move or see.

According to the Hawkins County Humane Society, the dog was found on Surgoinsville bridge. The community is now being asked to help find the owner of this dog.

“The smell from this dog is definitely from a home with lots and lots of other animals, and we want to find the others … If anyone has any information please let us know. It is going to worry us until we find them all safe. For now this baby is safe. I will update when he is cleaned up,” posted Sandy Murray Behnke, the manager of the Hawkins County Humane Society, on Facebook.

Local groomer Jackie from Groomingdales was in her office today to help this boy.

  1. Glad this precious little treasure was rescued instead of being killed by a car…….

I hope he recovers ASAP and is rehomed into a loving furever family where he will be treated as a beloved family member!!!

It would be terrific if the original owners could be located and their other animals health checked (or confiscated to be rehomed)…….

It is very possible that he was a puppy mill stud and dumped when the “breeder” felt he was too expensive to keep……

I don’t understand why anyone would treat their animals so badly……. if you take care of your income producers, they will take care of you……. it’s true for real estate projects, I would think it would apply for animal breeders too…….
