A puppy who vanished when the car she was in was stolen from a parking lot outside of a restaurant in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The five-month-old American bully, named Sky, was in her owner’s Toyota Camry when someone hopped inside and drove away.

On November 13, the Saint Paul Police Department reached out to the public for help:

Have you seen Sky, a beautiful American Bully? Or the black 2012 Toyota Camry she was in when both were stolen?

The car was parked outside of a restaurant on the 2080 block of Ford Parkway last night at about 7:45 when someone jumped inside and drove off. The car was parked outside of a restaurant on the 2080 block of Ford Parkway last night at about 7:45 when someone jumped inside and drove off.

Family, friends, and concerned citizens launched an all-out effort to find the missing pup, and on Thursday, the Lost K9 page on Facebook announced that she had been found:

What a great day!! Thanks to so many wonderful people and communities coming together, Sky is safe at home spending quality time with her family.
Today someone purchased Sky and brought her home. After getting her home another person in the house recognized Sky from all the Facebook posts. They called Sky’s owner and explained how they got her. The two of them arranged a place to meet and stayed on the phone with each other until they met.

The group thanked everyone who helped bring Sky home:

Thanks to the St Paul Police Department for all the work they put into this case and the news media for helping to bring awareness to Sky’s story. To the people who returned Sky. Thank you for your compassion and doing the right thing. You could have kept her but you didn’t. Lost K9 is truly amazed by how a community came together to save a dog they never even met.Again thank you to everyone for all of your help in getting Sky home safe.
