An injured pup, abandoned in a backpack in Colerain Township, Ohio, lost one of her legs, but she found a forever home. As reported by NBC4i News, the puppy, dubbed Tipper, had to have one of her legs amputated because it was broken in two places, but the man who rescued her, Aaron Kinsel, a truck driver with Rumpke Waste & Recycling, plans to bring her home to live with his family.

Kinsel rescued the 10-week-old puppy in late January after finding a backpack and looking inside. His company recounted the heartwarming save with Facebook followers that day, writing:

A Rumpke truck driver is a hero after saving a puppy this morning. Aaron Kinsel was servicing customers in Colerain Township when he noticed movement from a discarded backpack.

Kinsel stated that it seems like he was meant to find her.
