In Delhi, India, a prankster made famous for his YouTube prank videos, was arrested on Wednesday for animal cruelty after he posted a video where he attached hydrogen balloons to a small dog’s back and allowed the dog to float upwards. Gaurav Sharma faces animal cruelty charges.
According to the Indian Express, the incident took place in South Delhi’s Malviya Nagar. “People For Animals” filed a complaint against Sharma at Malviya Nagar police station.
The video showed Sharma attaching the balloons to his Pomeranian as he stood on top of a vehicle. He then released the dog, who started to float in the air up to the second story of a nearby building. Sharma could be heard along with a woman by his side cheering.
The dog was unharmed, however officials condemned the act stating it created a risk for the dog’s safety.
