On Thursday morning, Michigan State Police found a cold puppy inside of a car that was abandoned along I-75. In a Tweet, troopers explain what they found:

It there is one thing for sure about being a trooper, you are always unsure what the day or night will bring! Troopers were on patrol on northbound I 75 near the Davison around 4:00AM. There was a car sitting in the shoulder, windows worn down, and it’s pretty darn cold outside.

Explaining what the authorities encountered as they approached the vehicle:

As they approach the car, they hear something moving around inside the car. Then a bark. Then they locate this little guy! He was cold and definitely happy to see these troopers. “Davis” is warm now at Detroit Animal Care and Control. You never know what the night will bring.

Mlive reports that the car was impounded and the authorities are searching for the owner.
