A pitifully neglected dog finds herself in need of help at a busy, open-intake animal control agency in Texas. The two-year-old dog, named KitKat, was surrendered on February 8 to the San Antonio Animal Care Services facility, and his “due-out” date is February 9.

A social media post on behalf of the homeless pooch reads:

Dumped by “owner” in horrible condition and they didn’t even give him a name for the purpose of giving him some dignity “AVERY” NEEDS immediate Help!
