A piglet was betrayed in a horribly cruel manner by his owner, who left him in a cage with nothing more than his blankie. On Monday, the Blind Spot Animal Sanctuary posted a heartbreaking photo of the betrayed piglet, explaining what happened:
We are urgently seeking reputable rescue or an experienced adopter for an abandoned piglet. This poor piglet became homeless over the weekend as his human left him on a side of the road in Hillsborough, NC. He was left in a crate with this blanky. Imagine the fear, the uncertainty and imagine seeing your human driving away leaving you in a crate as if you were a pair of old shoes. No animal deserves this!
According to the sanctuary, 95% of all pet pigs wind up homeless…a staggering number. They explain that too many people are breeding, and buying, pigs – and nearly all of these animals are becoming homeless.
