Meet an abandoned pup named Seven. From the day he entered the Manhattan shelter of New York Animal Care Centers, Seven has been very social. Sadly, shelter life is no life, and it has been taking its toll on this boy. Maybe it brings up his memories of having been abandoned and losing his family? One day he was loved and part of a family, and the next day he was left in a shelter cage all by himself having to deal with strangers, strange dogs and awful sounds.

A volunteer had this to say about Seven:

Seven reasons you need good-looking goofball Seven in your life: 1. He’s super social and likes being surrounded by friends, no party is too hearty for this dude! 2. A lover of life, he’s ready to get out and explore anywhere from the city streets to a mountain trail 3. He already seems to be house trained and will come and sit on command 4. Smart yet adorably independent, teaching him new tricks will be a satisfying success 5. Despite his high energy levels he’s a gentle treat taker and all round snuggly sweetheart 6. His super side tongue and slight underbite are ready to send your social media accounts into cuteness overload 7. He’s just fun, fun, fun! Once you welcome Seven into your family, smiles and silliness will surely follow

Little is known about Seven’s past. He does allow petting and seeks attention. Recently he has become overstimulated during social interactions with handlers and both jumps and mouths his handlers’ arms and clothing. Seven arrived as a stray, and when found he had been wearing a muzzle, and coupled with his recent behavior, it is recommended this dog be placed in an experienced only, adult home where he can receive positive reinforcement based on reward-based training.

Last day for Seven unless he is helped.
