At the Harris County Pets Resource Center in Houston, Texas, Rocky is scheduled to be humanely euthanized on Tuesday after his previous owner likely lied about his dog’s behavior.
“Rocky got the short end of the stick since his owner lied about why they were surrendering him. They said he was AGGRESSIVE TO PEOPLE, and they obviously didn’t care what happened to him. Now Rocky will be the one paying the price. The shelter staff never saw any aggression in him and said he was a good adoption candidate… but no one ever wanted Rocky.”
And so 23 days later, in an overcrowded shelter with no potential home offers, Rocky’s fate is nearly decided and he will never have the opportunity to live the full life he was promised as a puppy by someone who once loved him; and all because this boy’s previous owner just needed an excuse to make himself feel better.
