At the Harris County Shelter, a brown brindle and white female bull terrier cowers in the corner and waits for someone to adopt her. Her family left her behind saying she was after the cat, and so the solution was to surrender the dog to the shelter.
Bull terriers have a special temperament; they are active dogs and need frequent walks and love exercise. They become very vested in their families and can easily become bored and mischievous. According to Your Purebred Puppy, an English Bull Terrier should not be kept with another dog of the same sex, and cats may or may not be safe.
A volunteer from Houston, Save Lives Is our Mission, stated the two-year-old dog named Khaleesi stays in the corner of her kennel cage and does not make eye contact with anyone. When her owners brought her in, she barked in fear at the crowded environment seeing so many people and other dogs. When it was Khaleesi’s turn to be taken away from her owner, her tail curled up between her legs, and she continued to look back while crying.
