In the Redlands area of California, a rescue warrior for cats who frequents the canyons to feed the unwanted, shared an emergency situation with Dream Fetchers: Project Rescue. In an area known as being rife with coyotes, a small dog had literally been “kicked” out of her home.
“The little girl had an accident in the house. And he literally ‘kicked’ her out of his house. He actually said, ‘I hope the coyotes get her tonight.’ She would not have lasted the night,” wrote Faith Easdale, founder of the all volunteer animal rescue organization.
Volunteers met in the area where the dog was last seen, and there she was – cowering in a corner. Using a soft voice and slowly approaching the scared pup, she allowed volunteer Jim Rolston to pick her up.
And here is another innocent victim of abuse and cruelty rescued. She will soon know what it is like to be loved and cherished. This dog is alive today because people care and work together.
“God bless the cat rescuers. Their job is endless. And they occasionally see dogs going to their feeding areas who are trying to survive and we try to help the best we can. Honestly it’s worse than ever out there. And God bless the emergency temp boarding we have. Saving sooo many lives,” Faith continued.
