A dog dubbed Helen was underweight and terrified by the time she was discovered alone in the yard of her former family, who abandoned her for weeks. On Tuesday morning, the Philly Bully Team posted an image of Helen, explaining:
Helen was abandoned by her owners and left to fend for herself in the backyard for a weeks without food water, or shelter.
Explaining that they had to step in after the local animal control agency failed to assist:
When local animal welfare organizations declined to help her, we stepped up, despite the influx of medical cases we have had lately. We sent her straight to the hospital where she is right now.
