Overlooked, nearly invisible and once again on ‘red alert’ sweet husky needs help now

At the SEAACA Shelter in Downey, California, a very sweet two-year-old husky is once again on “red alert,” signaling he can be humanely euthanized at anytime. Kalani is just a baby, and there isn’t one negative comment regarding his behavior, yet no one has noticed him nor has he had any adoption offers.

Kalani arrived at the shelter on January 16 and his life was already spared from the euthanasia list, however he is in danger of losing his life again.

Shelter notes indicate the dog weighs 61 pounds, has already been neutered and at the same time underwent surgery to repair a hernia.

A volunteer writes:

“This boy only has a couple hundred total in his rescue fund after all this time. He has just been completely overlooked. This is so sad. And apparently the front desk said he is friendly. My heart just aches for him.”

Please share Kalani’s plight with approved rescues, friends, family and social media contacts. Surely Kalani deserves better. How can he not be wondering why he’s at a shelter and no one wants him?
