A reward for information is being offered following the discovery of over two dozen dogs who were crammed into a wire crate and abandoned in Vero Beach, Florida. On Wednesday, 26 dogs were found alone on a dirt road…with no food, water or shelter, aside from the wire cage.
The Humane Society of Vero Beach & Indian River County writes:
Last Friday night, 26 dogs and puppies were piled into one small wire crate and abandoned on a dirt road, without food, water or shelter. They were lethargic, dehydrated, and terrified when they were found. Fortunately law enforcement got them to our shelter quickly to ensure that they received the care they desperately needed. They will require further medical treatment before they can be made available for adoption.
Thank you to our amazing team who stayed at the shelter into the wee hours of the night to ensure these dogs each received all of the love and care they deserved. ️
Information & Reward
The shelter is seeking information in the case, writing:
We need your help to identify anyone who may be connected to the abandonment of 26 dogs at the 4300 block of 25th St SW in Vero Beach. There is a $4,500 reward for any information leading to an arrest and conviction of this case.
