In Highland Heights, Ohio, the owner of a 10-month-old Yorkshire terrier contacted authorities to report two hours of security footage in her home showing her boyfriend submerging her puppy in water in the sink and then pushing the dog into the freezer multiple times until she died. The man then put the dog, Coco, back into her bed.
Phil Savelli, has been arrested by Highland Police and charged with animal cruelty. Savelli is currently out on bail.
A petition, Change.org described the heart wrenching details:
“On June 2nd, Phil Savelli tortured and murdered a sweet ten month old Yorkie puppy named Coco. While his girlfriend wasn’t home, he tortured the puppy for two hours by beating her, drenching her in water and putting her in the freezer until she froze to death. He then put the puppy back in her crate for the owner to find. All two hours were captured on cameras in the house.”
Helga Semaj, the dog’s owner, found her puppy dead in her dog bed last Wednesday. Semaj is asking authorities to apply Goddard’s Law in this case. Goddard’s Law makes it a fifth degree felony to knowingly cause serious physical harm to a companion animal, which is defined as activities involving a substantial risk of death, a partial or permanent incapacity, long-term pain, or deprivation of food, water and shelter.
The story of what happened to Coco is being shared on social media with the hashtag #justiceforcoco.

I hope officials are inclined to punish him to the fullest extent, because next up on his agenda will be an innocent child. Invoking biblical law “eye for an eye”, I pray God’s hand of Justice finds Paul Savelli, swiftly and with NO MERCY as he showed NONE to innocent Coco, with a reality check that brings Savelli to KNOW what it’s like to be beaten, drowned and frozen repeatedly. Live or die, that’s up to you Lord. I also pray You help Helga find healing and love that is unconditional and accepting.

Precious little treasure Coco deserves justice!!! I can’t begin to imagine how terrified she was in her last couple of hours of life…… she was a wonderful puppy with her whole life ahead of her and this disgusting POS stole it simply because he could…….
She couldn’t understand why she was being treated so cruelly and why no one helped her……
This POS should be locked up forever and lose the keys!!!
It’s really sad that there are individuals who think that it’s “ok to hurt others (humans or animals) to make themselves feel better”…….

Although tragic and upsetting on the surface the truth is we don’t know the whole story. Maybe the dog bit him or used the bathroom accidentally on him. It’s a shame all the way around and he did take things to far but we need to remember it’s merely an animal and a Yorkie at that. I feel bad for the owner but there are other real dogs out there that need homes. The world has bigger problems.
So to YOU, Thomas Haylee, REPEATEDLY DROWNING, BEATING and FREEZING a 7 POUND PUPPY with the bite size of a F*****G DIME, is OK. YOU are a NAZI DEMON SPAWNED THUG, EVERY THING was on CAMERA, damn remedial twit! People just LIKE YOU are the reason this world has so many problems, NOT that little dog.
