No more suffering for dog once invisible to the world living on tossed out tarps off busy road

In Cleveland, Texas, a dumped stray dog made her home out of tossed out tarps. She was invisible to the world; cars drove by, and no one ever slowed down or stopped to help her. Occasionally, a vehicle swerved to avoid hitting her while she crossed the road, but still no one stopped to check on her welfare. And even sadder, she looked at every passing car go by as if she had been waiting for a familiar face to stop and take her home.

Most likely she had a name at one time; the loose collar she wore is evidence she once belonged to someone.  She had been discarded; no one knows why.

ThisIsHouston was there to help:

“We drove by a dirt road canvassing for any dogs and just so happened to see a little face pick its head up amongst some weeds. She made a home out of some old tarp. We got out to see if she was friendly, but she was terrified and ran into the street where she nearly got hit 3 separate times. If we were to have ran after her, we would have scared her even more…”

Rescuers spent four hours trying to capture the dog, and finally they were successful. It was her hunger that saved her life, and she is now at the organization’s emergency veterinarian hospital being assessed.

Updates to follow.

Welcome to your new life Rose. No more suffering for you.

P.S. A mother dog and her puppies were also saved today. Every life counts.
