A severely neglected puppy died not long after being rescued from a grow house in Coachella, California. According to multiple sources, the eight-month-old English bulldog puppy was discovered last Wednesday by Riverside County sheriff’s deputies who were executing a search warrant at a residence in the 83-000 block of Calle Colima – the puppy was located in a bedroom and was unable to walk.

The puppy was in poor condition and needed round-the-clock veterinary care from an emergency veterinarian – unfortunately, the care came too late and the pup did not survive. John Welsh, spokesman for the Riverside County Department of Animal Services, said that the puppy’s condition was so poor that he went to sleep and died Thursday morning.

The situation is under investigation and the person responsible for the puppy’s condition may be facing animal cruelty charges.
