A man in Madison, Wisconsin, added to his growing list of felonies when he fatally kicked a dog. As reported by the Wisconsin State Journal, 31-year-old Ishmael L. Moran was officially charged on Friday for killing a Yorkshire terrier earlier in the week.
According to the news agency, Moran confronted another man who was walking his girlfriend’s little dog on Monday night. The complaint outlines what allegedly transpired between the men:
A man told police he was taking his girlfriend’s dog, Bella, a Yorkshire terrier, outside when he encountered Moran, who appeared intoxicated and called the man names. The man said Moran pushed him, and he left an elevator to avoid a further escalation with Moran.
According to the complaint, Moran confronted the man again and kicked the small dog “hard” in the stomach. The dog fell to the ground and did not get up. Moran allegedly laughed and said that the dog “deserved it.” Several hours later, Bella died. An exam revealed that the kick left her with broken ribs, internal bleeding and organ damage.
Monday’s incident resulted in multiple charges, including: felony animal mistreatment, disorderly conduct and two counts of bail jumping. The recent charges add to Moran’s growing list of criminal transgressions – he now has five open felony cases which are pending. He was jailed on $2,500 bail.

How many felonies does a person have on them before they keep them in jail? Killing the little dog Bella was his 5th and all it takes is $2,500 to turn him loose again! Shameful.
