An Arkansas man was arrested after video surfaced showing him beating a six-month-old puppy inside of his Fort Smith home. According to multiple sources, the disturbing video showed 28-year-old Shane Tyler Mullen violently throwing the puppy, and repeatedly striking the pup, who is covered by a black sheet or blanket.

The Fort Smith Police Department Criminal Investigations Division arrested Mullen on February 18 – he is charged with 1st-degree cruelty to animals, reports 5 News Online.

Two dogs were removed from the accused man’s possession – they are being cared for by animal services officers. The puppy did not suffer a life-threatening injury.
