Long time companions and bonded seniors, Peaches and Rex were ecstatic about going on a car ride two weeks ago. When they arrived at Miami-Dade Animal Services, they happily jumped out of the car and walked into the shelter – having no idea what was soon to be the worst day of their lives.

And not only were they heartbroken when their owner left them there, but no sooner had their surrender forms been processed, the dogs were separated and could no longer comfort each other.

According to their advocate, Peaches and Rex have been reunited and still wait for a new, loving home. Perhaps telling their story here will inspire more people to share their plight? After all, don’t these two seem nearly perfect pooches?

Senior bonded pair and long time companions Perches #A2232920 and Rex #A2232925:

“5/11 SENIORS REX AND PERCHES TOGETHER IN VIEWING ROOM STILL WAITING FOR A LOVING HOME TOGETHER- SWEET PAIR 💕 Both are mellow, super potty trained, sweet, don’t mind dogs, love to lay in bed. They can be walked together without issue as well.”

All they have left is each other. These sweet, heartbroken angels don’t understand why their owner abandoned them after ten years of love & loyalty. They are SO LOVING, as you see here from them cuddling & sharing kisses, & they rely on each other for comfort. They need a new furever home where they will be cherished and loved, and they have to be kept TOGETHER as they’ve been together their whole lives😭🙏🏻. Please pledge for their urgent rescue here so Perches #A2232920 and Rex #A2232925 can stay together forever. Both are 10 years old, very sweet and mellow pups. Please share widely so they can be adopted together.

  1. Do those POS former owners honestly think that there is a long line of potential adopters for elderly furbabies???

  2. OMGosh! HARD to handle this HEARTBREAKING ‘tail’… Imagine how this “Senior bonded pair and long time companions Perches #A2232920 and Rex #A2232925” feel!!! Meanwhile, this article has NO comments, other than mine – yet, and ZERO shares. What a crying shame! PAWS crossed these two find a family to step up and love them FURever more as they loved whoever abandoned them here…

  3. These VERY SELFISH so called “people” are serial dog users…that is, they get puppies, keep them while they enjoy the BEST HEALTH of their lives, feed them until they’re obese, like these two, then dump them. I bet $20 they went and got a new puppy/puppies soon after abandoning these lovely senior dogs. HOWEVER, I am very thankful they didn’t just dump them in the middle of nowhere as so MANY DO in CORRUPT Florida.

    • @Bunny Peters, OMGosh! HOPE what you say is true! Did NOT see this and glad I checked here. Can you send a LINK? ty
