At the Long Beach Animal Care Services, a two-year-old Catahoula/American bull dog mix has won the hearts of the staff and volunteers. Hemingway loves playing with toys and rolling around in the grass, except today, his tomorrows are unknown – he has been placed on the “at-risk” list.
According to the shelter, Hemingway is deaf, but as you will see in his video, that doesn’t seem to be a problem at all.

When found as a stray, Hemingway had a heavy chain around his neck which had to be removed by a veterinarian. Sadly, the staff also found “possible tread marks” on his head; did some evil person try to run this puppy over with a vehicle?
Veterinarian notes indicate Hemingway has possible entropian affecting his eyes, where his eyelashes turn inward and scratch his corneal surfaces) There is corrective surgery available for the condition.
