A substantial reward is being offered for information leading to whoever is responsible for abandoning a skeletal dog on November 1, in Syracuse, New York. The dog, dubbed Hope, was found tied up alone; she was wearing a teal and gray collar and was attached to a lime green leash.

On November 5, Cuse Pit Crew posted a reward flier and wrote:

Hope was tied up and left abandoned on Syracuse’s north side. She was determined to be a body score of 1 which is extremely emaciated.

The reward for information has grown to $5,800 thanks to commitments from four donors, and with the help of Animal Alliance of Greater Syracuse and Volunteer Advocate Lawyer for Animal Abuse Court – VALAC.

Cuse Pit Crew has advised those who have inquired about the status of Hope that the Syracuse Police Department is not releasing any further details at this time.
