We think of kittens  as chubby little ones playing, snuggling and nursing from their mothers. Instead, this little seven-week-old started her life suffering. Now the Kentucky Humane Society has stepped up and promise to make Avalon’s life better.

According to the non-profit animal welfare organization, Avalon had been brought to an overcrowded shelter with two wolf worms embedded in her neck. The previous shelter was able to remove the botfly larvae from the kitten’s head, but they were not able to remove the second larvae from her neck.

The veterinarians at the Kentucky Humane Society were able to help, and for the next few weeks Avalon will be recovering in a foster home.

Avalon has been through so much in her short life, and donations make miracle like this happen.

Get well soon little one.
