In Queens, New York a bonded pair are in immediate need of a new home. What makes them a bit more unusual? Katie is a five-year-old German shepherd and Sammy is a 16-year-old Siamese, and the two are close friends and just cannot be separated.
Katie and Sammy’s owner is elderly and is preparing to enter a nursing home. The lady will not be returning home, and her house will be put up for sale. Sadly, she had a stroke and is unable to care for her beloved pets.
The German shepherd is five-years-old and has been vetted. She takes a pancreatic enzyme supplement in her food, and has been described as a very sweet girl. Sammy, the Siamese is not a very affectionate lap kitty, but she LOVES Katie and is also properly vetted.
So what kind of home would Katie and Sammy be the happiest? Alleykattz Rescue, who has stepped up to help this bonded couple find a home, tell us the couple needs a home without children or other animals, although it might work out with an easy going dog or cat in the household.
The are now in the house alone and need a foster or a permanent home; please allow them time to get accustomed to their new home, and a person with patience and love to give would be the best candidate for these two precious lives.
