Senior beauty queen Satin struggles in the BARCS Animal Shelter; for several weeks she hid in the back corner of her kennel and wondered what happened to her human and her home.
Sadly, Satin was surrendered to the shelter after 11 years of only knowing one home when her family found a new kitten.
According to the shelter, Satin has been there for two months – which is far too long for a princess like her. While she’s not known to be much of a social butterfly, she does approach her caretakers for head rubs and leaning and rolling fully into them. Her coat is thick and luxurious – once one starts petting her, you don’t want to stop.
As with any lady at her age, Satin does have a few lumps and bumps that may need to be assessed at the family veterinarian.
“She would love a home with soft blankets to knead and sunbeams to nap in. It may take some time, patience and love for her to feel safe and comfortable again. When she does, she will reward you by being the most loving, loyal kitty,” Satin’s advocate posted on Facebook.
Under the Love Lasts Forever adoption package for senior animals, there is no adoption fee. If you would like to meet this beautiful gal, please contact:

Sharing saves lives. Satin deserves a wonderful new home with a human who will love her for the rest of her life.
