In Boston, the Animal Rescue League’s Law Enforcement Department is investigating the disturbing case of a paralyzed French Bulldog abandoned outside of a dog park at Perry’s Park in the South End.

According to CbsBoston, the three-year-old female dubbed “French Fry” was found in April. Eye witnesses saw a couple wearing Covid-19 masks carrying the dog shortly before she was abandoned. Surveillance videos are being collected and hopefully will track down the culprits.

A Good Samaritan brought the dog to a local veterinary clinic where she was examined and found to have been paralyzed on her hind legs, dehydrated, had an elevated body temperature and suffered hemorrhaging in her left eye.

French Fry’s paralysis was likely genetic, and it was decided to humanely euthanize her to end her suffering.

Abandoning a dog is a felony in Massachusetts and holds a maximum jail sentence of seven years. French Fry deserves justice. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Law Enforcement Department for the Animal Rescue League of Boston at 617.426.9170 or email [email protected].

Rest in peace French Fry.

  1. This poor precious little treasure. It’s too bad that she couldn’t have been fitted with a canine wheelchair. If it was only her rear legs that were paralyzed, the front legs would have been the force propelling her movements.

I don’t know enough about the seriousness of her other injuries. There are lots of people who can and do care for disabled animals. If I had been there, I would have suggested that she be fitted for the canine wheelchair…….. It seems to me that her paralysis was deemed to be a hindrance to her life. Her life mattered and she could have been adopted out as a special needs companion……..

Precious little treasure, I am very sorry that you were failed by your family and others. I know that you are absolutely in Heaven. Please look for MacKitty and join his wonderful snuggle buddies group and RIP amongst loving friends.

Your family, who were so horrible to you, have earned themselves a reserved spot in Hell to burn forever for their cruelty…..,,

  2. What a load of BS! I lost count of all the wheel chair dogs I’ve seen living their best life. They just didn’t want to be bothered so they executed her!
