Hundreds of shelter animals are receiving special meals today thanks to a team of compassionate volunteers. The festivities are happening at the Fort Worth Animal Care and Control facility in Texas and the food looks delicious!

On Wednesday, the shelter let Facebook followers know that volunteers were hard at work to make Thanksgiving special for the shelter pets:

We know you’re preparing for your Thanksgiving meal tomorrow…and guess what, so are we! Volunteers and staff have been prepping all afternoon to feed our lovable and huge family of 750-plus pets tomorrow!

Adding words of gratitude to those who made this possible:

They all receive a little bit of holiday cheer and happiness in their bowl but it’s really the extra kindness that means the most to the pets. Supporters of the shelter donated everything this year and we can’t possibly say thank you enough for all you do for our shelter pets!

If you live in the area and want to lend a hand, the shelter provided the necessary information.

If anyone would like to help hand-out the Thanksgiving day meals, just show up around noon at either shelter campus! North Campus, 351 Hillshire 76052South Campus, 4900 Martin St 76119

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
