Less than a week ago, a homeless orphan pup was seen walking the streets of New York City wearing a shabby, worn out coat. A bit thin and repeatedly looking up at the passersby, it was as if he expected his human to appear at any moment. Sadly, no one came.

And then he saw, who he obviously sensed to be someone kind who had been walking her own two dogs home. And so he followed her, and the Good Samaritan kept the orphaned pup in her backyard until Animal Control arrived and brought him to the Brooklyn facility of the New York City Animal Care Centers.

It hurts us to think that he must have been hungry and so tired that day, and the days that he was by himself. Please let’s get this beautiful boy home, a real loving home so he can be loved and have a warm bed, a full tummy and some sense of security knowing that he won’t have to go searching for food anymore.
