On Friday afternoon, a crazed homeless man launched an unprovoked attack using a machete on a sweet, stray pup in Tijuana, Mexico. A local woman had been feeding the young dog and was told about the random attack; she rushed out of her home and after searching the area, found the dog lying in the trash.
Neighbors in the area had witnessed the homeless man hitting the Chihuahua mixed breed before and tried to intervene to no success. When the man began to strike the dog with a machete, rescuers quickly stepped in and removed the dog and rushed him to a local veterinarian for treatment of multiple puncture and stab wounds.
The Balooja’s Foundation,located in Upland, California has stepped up to help when rescuers from Mexico were unable to find and afford the specialized medical treatment needed to save the dog’s life. At this time the dog’s condition has been stabilized and he is being transported to VetCare Oaks Veterinary Urgent Care.
