Homeless dog who wandered streets for months gave up all hope

In a rural Texas community, another homeless dog wandered the streets for months. Life is beyond cruel for the unwanted and lost dogs, and this pup’s physical condition continued to spiral out of control until his pain and his hunger robbed him of the will to live.

When the dog arrived on the porch of a woman’s home earlier this week, the Good Samaritan was eager to help, but soon realized she could not administer nor afford the veterinary help this dog needed. And so she turned to social media and asked for help.

“This doggie got here to my house, but I think I am way over my head,” the woman began. “Is there any rescue that could take him? I was finally able to catch him after a month of feeding him. But he has cuts all over his body. He is trembling. He is bleeding from eyes, face and whole body.”

And when a call went out to Rescue Dogs Rock NYC, there was no hesitancy; another homeless and critically injured dog who wandered the streets for months and had given up on living, was to be immediately transported to the organization’s partner veterinary hospital.

Now named Twix, veterinarians currently report he is in very poor condition – his fur is gone, there are infections all over his body, he is heartworm positive and is completely emaciated. Hopefully, Twix will recover.

  1. I am very happy that Twix is rescued!!! I hope he recovers ASAP and is rehomed into a loving furever family.

I am VERY concerned for this Good Samaritan who has more than 50 cats in her house though……. I think she would benefit from help with all these cats…….
